Day Twenty-two: I Am Yours

Today's blog is going to be a little different. I just want to share something I wrote this evening. I hope you enjoy it! 

Through the years I got to know You 

But You were never mine.

I wanted freedom from my chains

That held me to my sin.

But I couldn't let go;

I couldn't let You in.

     

And I couldn't breath;

I was drowning.

So I called out to You.

I will love you;

I will seek you.

No one before me;

I'll follow you only.

As time goes by

I try to forget my past

And who I used to be.

I'm done with the old me.

I want to be made new

And do what you want me to.

But I couldn't breath;

Because you breathed in me.

Now I am

You came before the sun and stars.

We know just who you are.

You came to free us;

You came to save us.

So I will love you;
